Gentle Yoga—Easiest
This gentle approach is ideal for a beginner, senior, someone recovering from an injury, or someone who just wants stress relief. The Friday 10:00 AM class will also offer a choice of totally using a chair throughout the class.
Basic Yoga—Medium to Medium/Hard
This class teaches form and alignment of basic yoga poses. Prior yoga knowledge is not required.
Intermediate Yoga—Medium/Hard to Hard
This class is for someone who is ready for more intense work. We refine and add to the basic poses. Basic yoga knowledge is recommended as a prerequisite.
Anusara Inspired Yoga
This is a type of Yoga which unifies a life-affirming philosophy of intrinsic goodness with Universal Principles of Alignment as well as scientific principles of biomechanics.
Anusara Inspired Foundations, Beginner – Basic Yoga
This is a one hour fifteen minute class that introduces breathing exercises, meditation, and physical postures. This yoga class is based on a unique style of hatha yoga where heart oriented themes integrate with the scientific principles of biomechanics. The focus is on developing concentration and awareness, as well as stretching and strengthening. Emphasis is put on detailed instruction, basic alignment principles, and introducing standing poses. Great for beginners or those with some yoga experience.
Anusara Inspired Yoga – Level 2
*Must have completed at least 8 classes of Anusara Foundations with Yoga instructor Rachel Carter, or another Anusara inspired instructor. This class is for continuing students who wish to refine their practice, build endurance, and strengthen their inner understanding. More complicated poses will be introduced based on the foundations already learned. This class is taught in a 6 or 8 week pre-paid session.
All of our classes are structured for drop-in use, except Anusara Yoga Level 2. Our yoga classes are not based on religion, nor will they interfere with your religion. All yoga will have rest and relaxation at the end. Each class last 1hr 15min. These classes are done barefooted and need a yoga mat. You can bring your own mat, purchase one from us, or rent a mat for $1.00. Wear any comfortable clothing, but don’t dress too heavy, as room temperatures will be warm.
